Issue No. 04
OCTOBER 2026
Hi there,
This week is about making things and finding them again. You can now paint straight onto your 3D models, bend any image along a line, and find anything in your library, even by what's inside a picture. Let's get into it š
Big news šØ
Paint straight onto your 3D models
Select an object in the 3D editor and click Paint in the top bar. You paint right onto the surface, so your model needs no UVs. No seams, no stretching.
Lay down colour, roughness, metal, bumps and glow, or drag a textured material from the library onto the model. Stack up to 16 layers, each with its own blend mode and mask. Masks can come from the model's shape too, so edge wear, dirt, dust and puddles land where they would in real life.
When you're done, export the maps for Blender, Unreal or Unity, up to 8K.
Path Warp ć°ļø
Bend an image along a Path
In the 2D editor, draw a path with the Pen (P), then pick Path Warp (W). Choose the path and the image layer, click Morph, and drag the path's points. The image follows your line live, with no new generation. The Influence slider sets how far the warp reaches, and Enter keeps it.
My favourite way to use it: trace a sketch into paths, generate from it, then reshape the design by moving its lines.
Find anything š
By colour, by look, by what's in the picture
The search box in Images and Videos now finds media by what the picture shows, not just by its name or prompt.
Two buttons inside the box search another way. Search by image: click a picture to find ones like it. Search by colour: pick a colour to see every picture that has it. Or right-click any image and choose Find similar.
To keep it all tidy, use folders and tags. Select a few tiles and press T to tag them or F to put them in a folder. Type to find one, or to make a new one. An image can sit in as many folders and tags as you like. Right-click a folder or tag and add it to Quick Access to keep it at the top.
Say hello
That's it for this week. If you try any of it, just reply and tell me how it went, or what you wish Framo did next. I read every reply myself.
See you next week,
